IMPERIAL SHEHAAB (*Ibn Safinaz x MB Mazaraa)
Combining the athleticism and movement of his sire with the beauty and gentle temperament of his dam, Shehaab is also siring superior foals with these same qualities.
His dam, MB Mazaraa, is an Imperial Madheen daughter and was a multi-champion show mare in both halter and performance before being retired to the broodmare band. His sire *Ibn Safinaz is a US National Top Ten Stallion and was a mainstay of the Imperial breeding program.
With very limited showing, Shehaab’s Class A show record includes two Junior Championships, one Stallion Breeding Championship and two Reserve Champion breeding Championships. At the 2007 Egyptian Event Shehaab was namaed Reserve Champion Stallion in the very competitive World Class Stallions, 4 & 5 years old.
Also at this Event, his daughter, Imperial Shehaabah was Reserve Champion in the Futurity Finals for Straight Egyptian Yearling Filiies in a class of 40 fillies, including the preliminaries. At the 2008 Event she won Most Classic Head, Female and the only other Shehaab get shown, Rageb, was named to the Top Ten in Yearling Colt Class.
Shehaab is under saddle, however, his training was interrupted in 2008 due to closing of Imperial. He was showing a great promise for performance and we look forward to continuing his training in 2009.
Shehaab has sired mostly blacks, bays or black bays with the occasional grey. He cannot sire chestnuts.
